Our Leaders

Cade Patterson

Cade Patterson

Pastor

Howdy! I'm grateful to serve as the pastor of West End. My wife Blakely and I are passionate about making disciples of Jesus and helping his church grow in the faith. I'm originally from Laurens, SC, and I became a Christian at a young age at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. In college, I discovered the joy of evangelism and Bible study. I enjoy reading, exercising, and eating good food.

Clyde Wilson

Clyde Wilson

Chairman of Deacons

I have been a member of WEBC for 48 years. I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior at a young age. After I married my lovely wife Rita, I joined WEBC and rededicated my life to Jesus. My church family has been instrumental in the way my wife and I brought up my 2 sons and helped direct my steps to help my family and myself grow in our Christian walk.

Our Deacons

Jimmie Ayscue, Bob Flowers, Leon Dillard, Jerry L. Ayscue, Jerry Parrish, Joe Todd, Clyde Wilson, Jerry A. Ayscue, Butch Anderson

Our Deacons are servants of the church, here to meet needs and work for the unity of our church family. If you have needs or questions, please let these men know!

Baptist Men

Our Baptist Men's Group works to carry out WEBC's mission to know Christ and make him known through fellowship and service. The Baptist Men meet on the last Sunday of each month at 7:30AM for breakfast and fellowship. We also volunteer and financially support local & state missions such as ACTS, Rebuilding Hope, GRACE Ministries, Lifeline Ministries, Hope House, the local homeless shelter, Baptists on Mission, and others as needed. We love sharing God's word and welcome opportunities to present the Gospel to everyone in our Community.

Baptist Men
Wmu

Women's Missionary Union (WMU)

We have two WMU groups, the Share Group and the Katie Oakley Group. The WMU Groups promote several offerings throughout the year and partner with a multitude of ministries, such as the NC Baptist Children's Home, our local EMT's, ACTS, Rebuilding Hope, the Red Box ministry for the women's prison, Samaritan's Purse Shoebox ministries, and back-to-school supplies for our teachers. These are all done to show God's love at home and around the world.

The Share Group meets monthly on the second Sunday of the month and focuses on mission-related projects, including serving our homebound members, preparing and serving meals at ACTS, and donating to the NC Food Bank.

The Katie Oakley Group meets once a month on the second Tuesday at 11:00AM in the fellowship hall to learn more about what our missionaries are doing at home and around the world. They pray for our missionaries, families, friends, and community.
